Sree Narayana College of Nursing (SNCON) is the Nursing College of Gurudeva Charitable Trust (GCT) founded by a group of Philanthropic followers of Sree Narayana Guru, the great saint and social reformer of Kerala. The goal of the Institution is to provide top class nursing education and quality health care at affordable cost. The location of SNCON is 14 kms away from Nedumabassary Cochin International Airport in between national highways NH 47 and NH 17 at Chalakka spread over 46 acres, away from the noisy congested city.
The Academic Block accommodates the nursing departments, students labs, museums, lecture halls with audio visual amenities, examination halls, central library, digital library, 24 hours internet connection, large conference hall, auditorium etc. The 500 bed hospital offers a range of clinical specialties, Super specialties and emergency services. SNCON campus provides separate bath attached hostel facilities for boys and girls in addition to in-house accommodation for faculty members. It also has a well-toned playground to keep students physically fit.
We the faculty of Sree Narayana College of Nursing believe that nursing is a human care service focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities to accomplish optimal health and improvement of quality of life of people.
We also believe that a Nurse should possess the mandatory qualification of commitment, compassion, competence and in-depth sense of empathetic consideration during the practice.
We strongly believe that in accordance with the technological advancement and knowledge explosion, human needs and expectations are ever changing. Despite of all the developments, threats and challenges of health are increasing day by day.
We believe that the Nurses, being the key workforce in the Health care delivery system,, nursing education should be equipped with knowledge, skill, affection and a vast amount of common sense.

The duration of the course is four years for B.Sc. Nursing
The maximum period to complete the B.Sc. Nursing course successfully shall not exceed twice the actual duration of the Course (Eight years)
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent there to, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible for admission.
Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (as per G.O (P) No. 208/66/Edn dated 02/05/1966, G.O (MS) No. 95/08/SCSTDD dated 06/10/2008 and amendments thereof, with total annual family income not exceeding Rs.4.5 lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in the case of Biology and 45 % marks in the case of Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together. The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination .The relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination extended to SEBC candidates only will be applicable to OEC candidates.
Candidates who have passed their qualified examination from outside the State of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from the University/ Board of Higher Secondary Examination concerned of Kerala. This should be furnished at the time of admission
Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31 December 2022. Self- attested copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC/ICSE/CBSE certificate showing Date of Birth/Copy of the birth certificate from appropriate authority should be furnished along with the application as proof of age.
