Sree Narayana College of Nursing (SNCON), established under the Gurudeva Charitable Trust (GCT), is a distinguished institution founded by a group of philanthropic followers of Sree Narayana Guru, the revered saint and social reformer of Kerala. Dedicated to the ideals of compassion, education, and service, the college aims to provide top-quality nursing education and healthcare services at an affordable cost. Located just 14 kilometers from Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, the college is nestled in a serene and expansive 46-acre campus at Chalakka, situated between National Highways NH 47 and NH 17—offering a peaceful, distraction-free environment ideal for academic pursuit.
The college boasts a well-equipped Academic Block that houses modern nursing departments, advanced student laboratories, subject-specific museums, spacious lecture halls with audio-visual facilities, examination halls, a central library, a digital library, and 24/7 internet connectivity. The campus also includes a large conference hall and an auditorium for academic and cultural programs. Clinical training is offered through a 644-bed multi-specialty hospital that provides a wide range of clinical, super-specialty, and emergency services, ensuring that students gain hands-on experience in real healthcare settings. Additional facilities on campus include separate hostels for boys and girls with attached bathrooms, residential accommodation for faculty members, and a well-maintained playground that supports the physical well-being and extracurricular engagement of students.
Philosophy: We the faculty of Sree Narayana College of Nursing believe that nursing is a human care service focused on the care of individuals, families, and communities to accomplish optimal health and improvement of quality of life of people. We also believe that a Nurse should possess the mandatory qualification of commitment, compassion, competence and in-depth sense of empathetic consideration during the practice. We strongly believe that in accordance with the technological advancement and knowledge explosion, human needs and expectations are ever changing. Despite of all the developments, threats and challenges of health are increasing day by day. We believe that the Nurses, being the key workforce in the Health care delivery system, nursing education should be equipped with knowledge, skill, affection and a vast amount of common sense. We accept as true that nursing research, evidence-based practice and problem-solving abilities must be incorporated in the day-to-day teaching-learning activities of the institution. We the faculty, believe that by-products of this institution would have a deep sense of dedication and a sense of unconditional acceptance of the individuality poor, unprivileged, abandoned, discriminated and sick disabled people in the society. Academic Excellence & Recognition: Sree Narayana College of Nursing (SNCON) has a strong legacy of academic excellence. The college is affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). It is duly recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, and the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council (KNMC), Thiruvananthapuram. SNCON upholds high academic standards, and our students consistently achieve Distinctions and First Classes in University examinations. With an annual intake of 45 students in the B.Sc. Nursing program, we are dedicated to nurturing competent, skilled, and compassionate nursing professionals.

Sree Narayana College of Nursing is a proud initiative of the Gurudeva Charitable Trust, founded on the vision and teachings of Sree Narayana Guru. The Trust is committed to delivering quality education and healthcare services, and the college is a reflection of this mission.
The overall governance and administration of the Trust are entrusted to the Board of Trustees (No. 428). The Board of Directors oversees the strategic functioning of the Trust, while an Executive Committee comprising eleven distinguished members directly manages the educational institutions, including Sree Narayana College of Nursing.
Each member of the Executive Committee brings a wealth of experience, professionalism, and dedication, ensuring that the college maintains high standards in academic and administrative excellence.
