Student Support & Engagement Initiatives

Our institution is committed to the holistic development of nursing students by actively promoting academic excellence, social responsibility, and personal growth. Various student bodies and support programs function effectively to foster leadership, participation, and well-being.

College Union

The College Union is an elected body that represents the voice of the students. It plays a key role in organizing cultural, literary, and sports activities and serves as a platform for students to express their opinions and participate in college governance.

Objectives

  • To encourage student participation in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • To promote leadership, teamwork, and organizational skills among students.
  • To address student concerns and represent them in institutional decision-making.
Student Nurses’ Association (SNA)

The SNA is a nationwide student organization under the Trained Nurses Association of India (TNAI), aiming to uphold the dignity and honor of the nursing profession. All students of the college are active members of SNA.

Objectives

  • To develop leadership abilities, communication skills, and professional conduct.
  • To create awareness about the responsibilities and ethics of the nursing profession
  • To provide opportunities for participation in conferences, seminars, and community outreach programs
Student Support and Guidance Program (SSGP)

The SSGP is a mentoring initiative designed to support students emotionally, academically, and socially throughout their academic journey.

Objectives

  • To offer individual guidance and counseling through assigned faculty mentors.
  • To promote mental health and well-being.
  • To identify and assist students facing academic or personal challenges.
National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS unit of the college instills the spirit of volunteerism and community service among students through active engagement in outreach activities.

Objectives

  • Plan the NSS regular activities and special camp.
  • Divide volunteers into different groups for project &develop competence of sharing of responsibilities
  • To develop the personality and character of students through voluntary community service
  • Identifying community needs and working with the community to solve problems.
  • To provide opportunities for the students to develop leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.
  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disaster.
  • Enable volunteers to interact with community representatives and members
Parent Teacher Association (PTA)

The PTA serves as a vital link between parents and the institution, fostering transparency and collaboration for student success.

Objectives

  • To facilitate open communication between parents and faculty.
  • To support academic and infrastructural development
  • To actively participate in the welfare and discipline of students.
Anti-Ragging Committee

The college maintains a zero-tolerance policy against ragging. The Anti-Ragging Committee ensures a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.

Objectives

  • To prevent and address any incidents of ragging on campus.
  • To create awareness about the legal and ethical consequences of ragging
  • To ensure compliance with UGC/INC anti-ragging guidelines.
Student Scholarship Programs:E grants

The college supports deserving students through various scholarship schemes offered by government and private agencies.

Objectives

  • To provide financial assistance to meritorious and economically weaker students.
  • To reduce the dropout rate by supporting academic continuity.
  • To encourage students to excel in academics and co-curricular activities.
