B.Sc. Nursing Programme

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to prepare competent, professional nurses who can provide comprehensive nursing care to individuals, families, and communities. The curriculum blends theory and practice and aligns with the guidelines of the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).

Graduates of this programme will be equipped with the scientific knowledge, technical skills, critical thinking, and ethical values necessary for the modern healthcare environment.

Number of Seats
  • Total Intake: 45 seats per year (General Merit: 50% of total seats & Management Quota: 50% of total seats)
Course Duration
  • Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)
  • Maximum Permissible Period: 8 years (twice the actual duration)

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification
  • Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) of the Kerala Board or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English put together.
Course Duration
  • SEBC candidates (with annual family income ≤ ₹4.5 lakhs): 45% marks in Biology and 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • SC/ST candidates: Only a pass in the qualifying examination is required.
  • OEC candidates: Eligible for SEBC mark relaxation benefits.
Eligibility Certificate

Candidates who have completed their qualifying examination outside Kerala must produce a Recognition and Equivalency Certificate from the appropriate University or Board in Kerala at the time of admission.

Age Limit
  • Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2024.
  • A self-attested copy of the SSLC/CBSE/ICSE certificate or Birth Certificate showing date of birth must be submitted with the application.
