The 'International Nurses Day' was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences on May 15, 2026, honoring the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of nurses to healthcare and society
The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address from Lt Col Amita Naze, Nursing Superintendent. *Prof. Dr. Indirakumari*, Principal, SNIMS, delivered the keynote address after the ceremonial lamp lighting. Lt Gen (Dr) Ajith Nilakantan, Executive Director and MS, SNIMS, gave the Presidential Address, while felicitations were offered by Dr. Anoop Vincent, Addl. MS, and *Dr. Simple Rajagopal*, Principal, SNCON, highlighting the vital role of nursing professionals in patient care and community health.
The nursing staff presented a range of cultural programs including group dances, songs, skits, and motivational presentations that reflected the noble spirit of their service. Outstanding nursing staff were also recognized and appreciated for their commitment and exemplary contribution.
The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by *Ms. Sindhu Mathai*, DNS, who expressed gratitude to the management, faculty, organizers, participants, and everyone who supported the event. The day stood as a heartfelt tribute to the tireless and humanitarian service of nurses at SNIMS.
