The Sree Narayana College of Nursing, Chalakka, successfully organized a State Level Workshop titled “Skill Studio on Human Touch in Healthcare” on 06 June 2026 at the College Auditorium. The workshop was accredited with 5 KNMC Credit Hours and was conducted with the objective of enhancing participants’ understanding and skills related to compassionate, patient-centered healthcare practices.
The programme commenced with registration from 8.00 AM to 9.00 AM, followed by the introduction of the resource person. The formal inaugural function began with a prayer song. The welcome address was delivered by Prof. Sheena P. V., Head of the Department of Child Health Nursing, who welcomed the dignitaries, resource persons, and participants.
The workshop was officially inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Indira Kumari K. R., Principal, SNIMS, who delivered the inaugural address emphasizing the significance of empathy, communication, and human touch in healthcare delivery. Felicitation addresses were offered by Dr. Manoj Menon, Associate Professor and Former Principal, Rajagiri School of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, Lt. Col. Amita Naze, Nursing Superintendent, and Dr. Vandana Gangadharan, Professor, Department of Pathology. Their inspiring messages highlighted the importance of holistic care and professional excellence in nursing practice.
